Child, Adolescent, and Family Services Program

Raising a child who does not fit neatly within the male and female gender binary can bring many questions and uncertainties. It is a journey where support can lessen challenges while providing clarity and insight. LAGC's Child, Adolescent, and Family Services program (CAFS) works with children between the ages of 2 and 25 and their families. We believe a collaborative approach is critical to your child or adolescent's well-being. Therapists working in the CAFS program have specialized training and experience working with children and adolescents in this age group, as well as with their parents and family. In addition to therapy, and when appropriate, we offer referrals to medical providers at the Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Our parent support group, Transforming Family, is a specialized support group specifically for parents of gender non-conforming and transgender children. We provide training, education, and legal advocacy for public and private schools, camps, churches, synagogues, and other places that children, adolescents, and parents may need support. For more information, or to schedule an appointment with one of our CAFS therapists, please contact us by clicking the link below.
