Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #121380

Supervised by Darlene Tando, LCSW #21699

I approach therapy from a place of collaboration, support, and acceptance.  I have experience and knowledge in the areas of depression, anxiety, mindfulness, trauma, crisis/suicide, gender identity, and LGBTQ+ counseling.  Additionally, I’m a certified trauma clinician and trained in EMDR therapy.

Together, we’ll examine how your past experiences and current emotions have led you to not having the results in life you want.  Then, we work to raise your mindful awareness and create changes in your behavior that will lead you to experiencing less distress and ultimately, a more joyful existence.

I’m also a woman of transgender experience who loves helping others find their own path to joy and gratitude.  Becoming my authentic self was a journey of self-acceptance and overcoming my own difficult past.  I believe the peace of knowing ourselves is something all of us deserve and are capable of having.  This is why being a therapist and helping others is so important to me.

Relevant training and education:

  • EMDR Basic Training – Sonoma Psychotherapy Training Institute, Inc.

  • Trauma Treatment with EMDR, CBT and Somatic-Based Interventions – PESI, Inc.

  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training – LivingWorks Education, Inc

In addition to my training as a therapist:

  • I work towards actively acknowledging how intersectional identities and systems of oppression impact BIPOC individuals and marginalized communities.

  • Am a former volunteer crisis counselor for the National Suicide Hotline.

  • Am an active volunteer support group facilitator at the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
